Uh-oh kids...only 62 days left of summer vacation***

Today was another good day. It was payday plus I got a little more than usual and I also got my last paycheck from tutoring and it was a big one too! So I bought some groceries, a new bathmat to match the new shower curtain and then I got some baking stuff for this awesome cake I'm going to (attempt) to make for my party at Katie's Saturday. It's a flag cake. I made the blue layer today. Will do the others tomorrow and then frost on Saturday. I REALLY need to find....wow, I got distracted by chatting with somebody and I have no idea what it was that I supposedly really needed to find. LOL I wonder if it'll come to me.

I feel like there was a TON of other stuff I wanted to write about but I took an ambien a bit ago so my brain is trashed. whoops.

8th day of summer

Today was an exciting day here at the Jensen Condo! I got up early (for vacation Laura) and got my new couch delivered (by my dad and his friend). IT'S SO PRETTY!!! Then they hung my new light. So the new, grown-up living room is almost complete! Just need the rug which should come next week. I could use a new coffee table too, but I'm in no hurry. I may check out garage sales and/or craigslist this summer. I'm kinda out of money too. lol

Once they left I had lunch, played around on the internet and then took a nap. I <3 napping! Then I got up but I don't really remember what I did. Nothing exciting, that's for sure. Then my dad called and we made plans to get me my new cell phone/add me to the family plan. That took forever, but we got it done. It'll take me a bit to get used to the new phone; the space button when T9 texting is different and so are some other things. I'll catch on eventually though.

I love love love my new furniture!!! It's so pretty! NO food or drink on the new furniture and no cat on the couch. Those are the rules people!!!

And on the 7th day of summer...

I forgot to blog! Damn! lol But the 7th day is supposed to be a day of rest, right? So maybe it's all good.

Yesterday I had a busy day of grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning and then I got my new chair delivered and all set up. There are a couple little marks where the finish was worn off that they have to come fix and that won't happen until next month. But it's sooooo pretty! I wish I could afford the ottoman but that's just life.

I can't remember anything else about yesterday so that's all I'll say about it!

This is a quick one cause it's been a a long day of traveling.

I'm super happy to be home!!

By the end of this week I'll have a grown up living room! Though maybe not the light. We'll see.

Have a LONG list of chores to do tomorrow

• grocery shopping
• post office
• vacuum blue couch
• call goodwill about donations
• do dishes
• laundry
• finish unpacking
• go to the library

Oh, and Dad and one of his friends are going to stop by to move in my new chair (we picked it up on the way home from the airport tonight) and then Wednesday morning they'll go pick up the couch and drop it by and haul the old stuff away. So come Thursday I'll probably get to relax a smidge, and then Saturday I'm going to Gig Harbor to see Katie for a pre-4th of july party. Not sure if I'll stay the night or not yet.

So yeah, NEXT week I can start in on my list of summer chores. Hmmm...is it just me or am I already pushing it back? Will it be like this all summer? Stay tuned....

Summer Vacation - Day 2

I got most of the stuff on my list done yesterday...YAY me! Before I go to bed tonight I need to empty Lucy's litter box and unload the dishwasher. Also need to pack...lol!

My doctor's appointment yesterday went fine. As did my one today. Though my arm is hurting from the shot I got. Left arm next time.

I'm at a loss for what else to write today. I know I have several topics saved in my phone, but I'm not in the mood today.

So I guess that's it until Monday. I'm so excited to see Alisha!!!

Day 1

I've decided that I'm going to try and blog every day this summer, except maybe this weekend when I'm out of town since I don't know what my internet situation will be.

I stayed up until 5am this morning. That was pretty cool. I'm up and showered now and I need to go run some errands and then have my follow up appointment with my urologist. After that, just gonna chill I think. I have a few chores I want to get done around the house BEFORE this weekend but for the most part, all my summer projects are going to wait until next week.

Here's my list for today:

• doctor's appointment
• empty litter box
• return stuff to the mall
• pick up my order at REI

Other things that might get done today or tomorrow are:

• clean kitchen/dishes
• laundry
• put clothes away (I have clothes laying EVERYWHERE in my room)

So that's it for my first entry. I may write more than once a day too.

Man, I'm a total downer right now. This week has just totally bummed me out! All these doctor visits and crap have sucked. And now it's pretty much just a waiting game but I think I'm fine.

I've watched some sappy, romantic movies lately and man they're depressing! Why do I keep watching them? Why can't that shit happen in real life? Why do I ALWAYS seem to fall for the douchiest guys who are just the WORST possible choices for me?!? If you're a guy who I should not be into, I'll probably be in to you....WTF is wrong with me?!?

*sigh* I'm starting to wonder if not working this summer was a good idea. I may have too much time to think and feel sorry for myself. I wish I had a magic wand or a genie or something. I'm too lazy to change my own life. Or just too afraid. bleh

my first hint fiction story

Look at me, I'm an author now! lol I've read all 125 stories now, many more than once. Some take several readings to get, some I still don't get, and some are so powerful they just deserve multiple readings. I also shared it with tons of people because I feel it's so awesome. I <3 books!

This is one of the random books I found at the library yesterday and some of the stories blow my mind away with what they don't say! There were several where I could totally imagine what might have happened before or what might happen after.

I like the idea of a writer and a reader meeting halfway. Actually, I really don't! lol I love book series because I like to know what happens to the characters, not just imagine it. I know they're not real people, but they usually feel like it to me.

Now I'm all confused! As per usual, my brain and preferences just contradict each other. WEIRD!

I'm going to try and sleep for an hour before I have to start getting ready for school. Tonight...AMBIEN and bed by 9ish!
